You will love the installment of The Chronicles Of Narnia audiobook 4: The Silver Chair. Although the Pevensies and other characters from The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, as well as Prince Caspian don’t appear in this part, you can still continue following Eustace and Jill on their own cool adventure through Narnia, especially since we got to see even more parts of the world that had not previously been explored in the previous books. It was an interesting and healthy journey in and of itself.
The Chronicles Of Narnia audiobook 4: The Silver Chair is the first (but not the last) Narnia novel to depict Narnia as a considerably less welcoming and darker environment than the other books, particularly The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. Lewis’ decision to do this here worked well for me, and it made for a more adult read in a series that already matures more in the later novels.

Lewis was a superb storyteller, and what’s most surprising is that the universe is immensely lively and well-thought-out despite the fact that none of these novels are as long as the average fantasy novel nowadays. Lewis offers us just enough to paint a complete image while leaving much to the imagination. The Chronicles Of Narnia audiobook 4: The Silver Chair is no different.
The Chronicles Of Narnia audiobook 4: The Silver Chair is an enthralling Chronicles of Narnia adventure narrative. There was mystery, suspense, and hilarity. The detailed and colorful descriptions of the different locations where the adventurers found themselves produced such a vivid image of the environment that one feels as if they are living the narrative with all of the characters. There was also underlying satire, which was a novel sensation.
The Chronicles Of Narnia audiobook 4: The Silver Chair contains all of the normal aspects of Lewis’ fantastic, rich fantasy world, but the characters are better, at least in my opinion, the tale feels less artificial, and it has the extra virtue of being a true novel.
